My Top 5 Strengths
Analytical is one of the strengths that describes me best because I like to look for evidence, patterns, and explanations as to why. In my job, I spend a lot of time troubleshooting technical issues and identifying root causes instead of making assumptions, though sometimes assumptions are a good place to start. I enjoy solving problems.
I selected Arranger because I am often coordinating multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities at the same time. Whether I am managing work assignments, coursework, or personal projects, I like finding the most efficient way to use available resources. I am comfortable adjusting plans when circumstances change and keeping everything organized.
I last minute changed this card because I realized it fit me the most after a current fun little prank I am pulling on my boss that I was able to rope other people into with skillsets that I did not have.Includer reflects the way I interact with other people. I believe everyone should have an opportunity to participate and contribute. In group settings, I try to make sure all voices are heard rather than allowing only a few people to dominate discussions. I value teamwork and treating others with respect.
My wife and I have 8 siblings between us, some cousins, family friends, and significant others and children that total up to 20 of us. We started doing something called Sibling Game Night a couple of years ago that gets all of us together just to hang out and play games. I painstakingly try and organize a night that can get us all together across states and schedules just so no one misses out.
Context stood out to me because I enjoy understanding how things developed over time. Whether I am researching technology, studying cybersecurity concepts, or learning about a new topic, I like to look at the history behind it before making decisions. I want to know why something came to be the way it is in the present. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
Adaptability fits me because technology changes constantly and unexpected challenges occur every day. Working in technical support has taught me to stay flexible when priorities shift or urgent issues arise. Rather than becoming frustrated by change, I focus on adjusting quickly and finding a path forward. I recently worked on a project, and still am kinda, that would change day by day, hour by hour, that it was a waste of time to relay all information to my boss's boss because what I told him in hour one would be moot by hour 2 or 3. It got me in trouble for a bit.
The strength I would most like to develop further is Adaptability. As I continue pursuing opportunities in cybersecurity and digital forensics, I know the field will continue evolving with new tools, threats, and investigative techniques. Strengthening my ability to adapt and respond to new situations will help me remain effective and continue growing throughout my career.
